Hemlock Hollow Homestead
About the
Normande breed
The Normande breed tracing back to 18th century Normandy, France where regional farmers carefully crossed three local cattle types — Cotentine, Augeronne, and Cauchoise — to create a hardy, dual-purpose breed known for both milk and beef production.
Today, Normande cattle are celebrated for their rich, high-component milk, flavorful beef, strong maternal traits, and calm temperament — qualities that align beautifully with our values here at Hemlock Hollow Homestead.
